“Joseph took the body, wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and placed it in his own new tomb that he had cut out of the rock. He rolled a big stone in front of the entrance to the tomb and went away.” Matthew 27:59-60 NIV

All over the world we are affected by this dreadful pandemic Covid-19. We either know someone or have heard from someone about the loss of lives to Covid-19. To those families and friends that might be asking today, "where is God in all this, does he really care?" I comfort you with these words of our Lord Jesus. "I will never leave you, nor forsake you, but I will be with you to the end" We cannot understand why and how, and maybe like Mary and Martha we might say, "Lord if you were here then our brother/sister will not have died" Jesus on hearing this wept with them. Today we take comfort knowing Jesus feels the hurt and sorrow we feel. He has never changed. This disease has shut down economies with hundreds of thousands of job losses, companies have gone into bankruptcy whilst others are going into liquidation and there is a sense of helplessness and hopelessness. For many it has ushered in instant poverty, depression and even suicide. Brothers and Sisters Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever! He will not see the righteous forsaken or their seed begging for bread. God will take care of you. Trust him, place your faith in the man who calmed the waters. Turn to Jesus today, allow him to take over the burdens you are carrying. Jesus loves everyone of us this day and always. In the midst of destruction and devastation there are miracles taking place, healings taking place, provision taking place. God is on the throne and this story is still going to be written and told, that God saved humanity from a complete wipe out! Thank God today you are alive and you are part of this story being written. You are alive for a purpose. Have a thankful day and fulfil your purpose!
