We believe that the Bible is the inspired and only infallible, authoritative 'Word of God'.
We believe that there is only one true God eternally existent, revealed to us as the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, His unqualified deity, His sinless humanity and perfect life. We believe in the eternal all-sufficiency of His atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the Father’s right hand and His personal return.
We believe that every person has the right to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and that repentance from sin and faith in the precious blood of Jesus is the only way to restore their relationship with God through “Salvation”.
We believe in Water Baptism by immersion for believers according to Matthew 28:19.
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in tongues according to Acts 2:4
We believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to the Scriptures.
We believe in observance of the Lord's Supper in remembrance of the death of our Lord Jesus Christ as outlined in 1 Corinthians 11: 23-32.
We believe that the Church has the mission to evangelize the world.
We believe in the fivefold Ministry, Pastors, Evangelists, Apostles, Teachers and Prophets and believe therefore that the Church has to be served by people with a Divine calling, and are to minister in accordance with the scriptures.
We believe in Divine Healings provided for by the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross.
We believe in the blessed hope - The Rapture of the Church at Christ’s coming.
We believe that Christ will reign one thousand years and thereafter after eternally.
We believe that there will be a Final Judgment. We believe in the resurrection of both, the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.
We believe that there will be a new heaven and a new earth and those who accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour will be with the Lord forever.
WE VALUE PEOPLE: We are committed to meeting the Spiritual, Physical, Social and Emotional needs of people with compassion, humility, and sensitivity. (James 1:27) We shall endeavour to promote gender/racial/ethnic/tribal/and cultural equality in our Ministry.
WE VALUE GODLY SERVANT LEADERSHIP: We are committed to the development and exercise of a leadership that is exemplified by GODLY CHARACTER and HUMBLE SERVICE in our Ministry. (Matthew 20:26-28)
WE VALUE FELLOWSHIP AND HOME GROUP MINISTRY: We are committed to the caring relationships that develop when people meet with one another. Fellowship stimulates people to know one another offers new comers a place to belong and assists in holding each other accountable. We see small group ministry as one of the most effective means at building relationships, enhancing fellowship, stimulating spiritual growth, discipleship and the development of leadership. (Acts 2:42 and 46)
WE VALUE THE ACTIVE PARTICIPATION OF ALL BELIEVERS IN MINISTRY: We are committed to the development of the MINISTRY GIFTS of each believer. We see every believer as a potential minister of the gospel who should use his or her natural talents and Spiritual Gifts for the benefit of the body of Christ here at CORNERSTONE TABERNACLE and beyond. We believe that the Primary responsibility of the Pastor’s in the local Church is to “prepare” God’s people for works of service.
WE VALUE BIBLE TEACHING AND ITS PRACTICAL APPLICATION: We are committed to the clear teaching and accurate communication of God’s Word in a way that MINISTERS GRACE, STIMULATES FAITH, ENCOURAGES GROWTH AND LEADS BELIEVERS TO OBEDIENCE in its practical application.
WE VALUE FINANCIAL STEWARDSHIP (MALACHI 3:10, PROVERBS 3:9): We are committed to the teaching and practice of Biblically balanced stewardship. We recognize that Ministry takes money. Giving may be one of the most tangible expressions of our Faith. We therefore encourage our members and adherents to give generously and sacrificially to the Ministry of CORNERSTONE TABERNACLE.
WE VALUE PRAYER AND FASTING (MATTHEW 7:7-11, JAMES 5:13-18): We are committed to the Spiritual disciplines of Prayer and Fasting as a necessary and essential part of Christian Life. Therefore, the Ministries and Activities of CORNERSTONE TABERNACLE will be characterized by reliance on prayer in their conception, planning and execution.
WE VALUE EVANGELISM, CHURCH GROWTH AND CHURCH PLANTING (MATTHEW 28:19-20): We are committed to Evangelism and Church Planting as a means of reaching the lost and growth of the church. Lost people matter to God and therefore they ought to matter to the Church. We shall strive to take the Gospel to the lost, by all available means and shall align our Ministry and Activities for the Salvation of the Lost.
WE VALUE MISSIONS (ACTS 1:8): We are committed to the communication of the Christian Message to people of other cultures and across the Nations in accordance with the GREAT COMMISSION and will strive to extend the Gospel Message in areas not yet reached within and without the National Boundaries.
WE VALUE DISCIPLESHIP: We are committed to the growth of converts to maturity in Christ. We endeavour to fulfil the command of Christ “to make disciples” through effective training and Godly living.
WE VALUE PRAISE AND WORSHIP: We are committed to the Ministry of Praise and Worship as an integral part of our Ministry to God and one that uplifts our spirits. We endeavour to maintain a Praise and Worship Ministry that exalts Christ, and is contemporary and captivating.

We recognise and acknowledge the cultural context in which we Minister and the message we communicate should be both contemporary and culturally relevant, whilst remaining doctrinally pure.
